Hello.
You can call me Peanut.
I go places, eat things, stay the night, and have opinions about all of it.
the reviews do the talking
Why Peanut Reviews?
There are too many lovely places—and a fair few disappointing ones—to keep all the details trapped in a group chat. Peanut Reviews is a personal notebook of restaurants, cafés, hotels, bars, and days out.
Every review is independent, personal, and written after a real visit. It isn’t an awards body or a panel of mysterious experts. It is one reviewer, one experience, and a carefully considered number of peanuts.
The Peanut scale
Scores run from one to ten, with half a peanut available when whole numbers simply cannot contain the nuance.
Something went rather wrong. There are kinder ways to spend an afternoon.
Some good moments, some raised eyebrows, and probably a story to tell.
A genuinely good place that Peanut would happily recommend.
The rare stuff: memorable, joyful, and worth making plans around.
Honest, personal, and never written by committee.
If a visit was complimentary or invited, the review will say so clearly. A free pudding cannot buy extra peanuts.
